Trauma Informed Psychotherapy for Perfectionism and People Pleasing
I specialise in working with individuals exploring people pleasing tendencies, perfectionism, and helping you get in touch with your own needs. My goal is to provide a professional and accepting space for you to offer yourself more compassion and notice where you have a tendency to be self-critical or defer to the needs of others.

About me and my practice
As a fully qualified psychodynamic, relational therapist, I offer an accepting, exploratory, and empathic space to consider any and all aspects of your life. I believe that therapy is less about finding the solutions, and more about exploring the questions themselves.
I am committed to getting to know you and for us to work together to understand the issues you are facing. Each person is an individual and deserves to have autonomy over how they would like to use the therapeutic space!
I will work to build a relationship with you where you feel able to untangle some of your experience and find ways forward that feel authentic for you.
Experience
I trained in Psychodynamic and Person-Centred modalities at University of Edinburgh, and finished my diploma in counselling and psychotherapy in 2022. I am currently completing my Professional Doctorate in Psychotherapy at the University of Edinburgh. My research focuses on young people and self-diagnosis of mental health disorders from social media content.
I have worked in a variety of environments, offering therapy in charities, universities, and educational settings. I have a significant background working with young people and adults. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in a variety of educational environments including teaching in primary and secondary schools. I have worked with adults through community education and training. I have taught on COSCA counselling certificate courses and continue to be involved in continuing education in the field of counselling and psychotherapy.

Initial Consultation
I offer a reduced rate of £25 for an initial online meeting.
In this first meeting we will have space to get to know one another. I will share about my way of working and we will discuss what is bringing you to therapy at this time. In this meeting we can discuss your availability and the possibility of scheduling weekly sessions.
Introduction sessions are online and usually last between 25-50 minutes.
I firmly believe that finding the right fit therapist is crucial in the therapeutic process. It is more than normal for it to take a few therapists before you find one you really 'click' with. If you feel that we might be a good fit, please do reach out for an obligation free introduction!
Fees
I charge between £55 to £65 per 50 minute session. The sliding scale is determined by you with no questions asked. I hold a limited amount of reduced rate sessions, please contact me about availability.
